Gameplay and visual enhancements, additional neighborhood events, a new MyCareer story, WNBA, new MyTeam features i.e. “Ultimate Team”, new MyPlayer character builder, new badge upgrades, new MyLeague additions and more.

MY ROLE
As a Art Producer, my focus was to support the UI art department by preparing
for a full development cycle. This entailed managing the scope of work, scheduled and prioritized tasks utilizing ShotGrid (formerly known as ShotGun), budget and manage the departments finances, communicate with executives, directors and other departments leadership, handle business relations with regional and international external teams, organized and onboarded contractors and vendors.

MAIN CHALLENGES
MYCAREER
REAL-TIME
EVENTS
Every year The Neighborhood (MyCareer mode) was expanding. With the mode carrying a Story, Basketball Gameplay, it also carried The Neighborhood which provided Park games, Stores, Training Facilities, Mini-Games, and Real-Time events.
Our department was tasked to brand event logos such as “Court Conqueror”, “Formula 2K”, “Gold Rush”, “Big Top” etc. as well as sponsorship events such as “Beats” and “Gatorade”. We also introduced season events such as October Halloween, December Christmas etc.
Since real-time events were going to be released through-out the games published cycle, I went ahead coordinated with the Events Producer and put a schedule together.
With the Feature Events added to my roadmap, I went ahead coordinating the department by communicating with leadership and started prioritizing, scheduling, and outsourcing tasks.
MYREP PROGRESSION
ANIMATIONS
A new leveling-up tier system called “MyRep Progression” which allowed players to rank up and unlock rewards. Each time the player unlocked a rank, their character would play an animation so other players around can see them leveled up.
Each animation was custom created, which needed a lot of time to implement.
I had to coordinate with various departments to figure out a schedule and because of timing & workload, I had to schedule the first half of animation to be released at publishing but the other half, needed to wait till a later Patch to finalize.
MYTEAM
GAME MODE
REAL-TIME EVENTS
The expansion of the MyTeam game mode was made high priority for 2K20. Feature Game Designers had the challenge to bring MyTeam to the forefront. We were requested to create 3D environments, Card Packs, Pachinko, Evo Cards, new modes like MyTeam Challenges, Domination, and improving Triple Threat etc. I communicated with the MyTeam designers and Lead Artist to help manage tasks, outsourcing, legal vetting, and scheduling.
MyTeam mode also had real-time events throughout its published cycle and coordinated with departments to grant those request.
THE WNBA
We were informed the WNBA will be implemented for 2K20. Unfortunately, the implementation process took awhile – on top of needing to complete features we also had to overhaul our 800+ Front-End & Broadcast assets.
After meeting with the designers, we went ahead scheduled the feature to be handled.
We needed to manage an arena with new a new broadcast package, we also added a new WNBA player builder.
PLAYER BUILDER
BADGE UPGRADES
Our department handled additional features to the Player Builder such as Skill Breakdowns, Physical Profiles, Setting your Potentials, choosing your Takeover badges and Badge Upgrades.
These features needed new art created and built into the game. I coordinated communication for each department and worked closely with the game producer, designer, UI Director, and UI build artist.

I handled delivering high priority features from start to finish. Managed the budget, schedule, priority, tasking, scouting, outsourcing, onboarding, external teams, legal paperwork, departments workflow, communication with design, engineering, tools, marketing and art teams. I also helped with some UI/UX design.
